Artist Market @ AthFest Music and Arts Festival is a juried visual and craft market in downtown Athens, held each late June since 2002 as a fundraiser for AthFest Educates. 65–70 booth spaces showcase original work in ceramics, drawings, paintings, folk art, furniture, photography, glass, handmade musical instruments, jewelry, mixed media, prints, woodwork, and sculpture. No commercial kit products or factory-made items. All artists are jury-selected on handmade nature, quality, production consistency, and uniqueness. The market occupies a block-long section on West Washington Street — a 10-degree hill — with electricity provided at each booth. Some overnight security offered. No sales commission charged; you handle sales tax. Awards given for Best in Show, Second Place, and category-based Honorable Mentions.

Running since 1936, the 89th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival is the third-oldest fine arts festival in the country and Atlanta's oldest event.
